The Churches

All of the kids we serve are known by local churches in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Since officially starting in 2005, we have helped over 160 churches care for children in their local communities. All of the local orphan care plans we fund are discussed, designed, implemented, and evaluated by local leaders. We are helping equip them with the tools needed to create the plans and then funds to get them going. Long-term, we are working on developing income generation capacity within each community so the churches can take on the costs of the project.

Our focus is on church run projects led by graduates of sound, trustworthy theological schools who are training local leaders. We can’t help everyone, so we are investing in locally established training institutions to help feed these ladership development institutions AND help encourage non-trained people to attend.

Our partners are graduates of the Theological College of Zimbabwe (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) and the Theological College of Central Africa (Ndola, Zambia). We find these leaders through graduate networks we are establishing in partnership with existing projects and the seminaries.
